An other production from this manufacturer for the Wehrmacht, this can stores essential products for the maintenance of weapons, from machineguns MG34/42 to the anti-aircraft gun 2.cm Flak 30/38. Named Öl- und Petroleumbehälter, it has got 1,25 litre capacity. To the number of two in the maintenance set of the gunsmiths - Waffenmeister -, they contain a lubricating agent - Waffenschmieröl - and a cleaner agent - Petroleum -. The cap with integrated pouring spout is retained by a small chain to avoid its loss and a content identification plate is riveted to the handle. Those plates carry different markings :

- for the lubricating : Oel, M.G. Oel - Maschinen Gewehr Oel -, W.S.Oel, W.Sch.Oel or W.Schm.Oel - Waffen Schmier Oel -, knowing that both spellings are possible for the word oil in german, Oel and Öl.

- for the cleaner : Petr. or Petroleum.

A WaffenAmt is sometimes present and plates without marking are also encountered.

On those two examples manufactured by par F. & R. Fischer A.-G. - Blech u. Metallwarenfabrik, note the absence of marking on the identification plate riveted on the handle (Stephane Arquille collection).

Dates of 1941, the logo Fischer Original and the manufacturer code ebn are located on the rear of the handle with an illegible WaffenAmt. The note Az. 65 a Nr. 3437/41 (8/VIII) from the 15th of january 1941 signed by the department "Technisches Amt" of the "Reichsminister der Luftfahrt und Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe" ordering the establishment of manufacturer code was also applied on those cans by this industrial (see the webpage about that note here) (Stephane Arquille collection).

Illustrated accessories extracted from the manual of the MG34 - Dienstvorschrift 124/1 -, the can is the number 22 (Aurelien/Dominique Moulin collection).
